Cancellation and Refund Policy

The Saranda Forest Department is committed to providing a seamless and transparent experience for visitors using our online services for stay bookings, safari bookings, and forest entry passes. Below are the terms and conditions related to refunds and cancellations:

1. General Terms

  • Refunds and cancellations are subject to the policies outlined below and may vary based on the type of booking or service availed.
  • All requests must be made through the official website or mobile app using the registered user account.

2. Stay Booking (Guest House/Accommodation)

  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the check-in date will incur a cancellation fee of 10% of the booking amount.
    • Cancellations made between 3 to 7 days before the check-in date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking amount.
    • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 3 days before the check-in date.
  • Refund Processing:
    • Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days to the original payment method after deduction of applicable cancellation charges.

3. Safari Booking

  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled safari time will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the booking amount.
    • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled safari time.
  • Refund Processing:
    • Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days to the original payment method after deduction of applicable cancellation charges.

4. Forest Entry Pass

  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Forest entry passes are non-refundable and non-transferable once issued.
    • Requests for changes or cancellations will not be entertained.

5. Important Points to Note

  • The department reserves the right to cancel any booking in case of unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions, wildlife safety concerns, or administrative reasons. In such cases, a full refund will be provided to the user.
  • Refunds will not be provided for:
    • No-shows or late arrivals.
    • Misrepresentation of information during the booking process.
    • Violation of rules and guidelines set by the Saranda Forest Department.
